AN ASPIRATIONAL CAMPAIGN INSPIRED BY NOSTALGIC, ART DECO TRAVEL POSTERS
This past winter, Lau+Co collaborated with Hallmark Channel's brand creative team to develop a thematic, television stunt that delighted audiences on January's Saturday nights.
Hallmark Channel’s Winter Escape promotion was a month long, four-movie premiere campaign, centered around escapism and travel. The design-centric marketing strategy amplified each film's diverse global setting, creating an aspirational and nostalgic brand system that transformed every Saturday night into a highly anticipated viewing event.

IDENTIFYING AN IMPACTFUL AND COHESIVE VISUAL THRUWAY
The illustrated visual identity system sailed to life with a nostalgic travel poster concept, sparked by Hallmark's in-house agency, leading to the build of a stunning and vast, custom graphic toolkit that seamlessly rolled out across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
The challenge of promoting four original movie premieres into a holistic branded stunt was met by identifying visual cues that represented similarities across each film's location. The choice to use identical gradient skylines, billowing clouds, seascapes, and planes set visual cohesion across the dramatic promo backdrops. Then iconic landmarks and unique color accents were added to differentiate each premiere's unique setting.
